What do you think of when you see the word “Recovery”? Most folks picture an arc of uncomfortable chairs filled with narcotic or alcohol-fractured people drinking from styrofoam cups. At Restart we have a different take. We believe anything which keeps you from a daily walk with God is something you need to recover from. In that sense we are all addicts, all of us are in need of recovery.
Although we are just as apt to grill up some burgers and play a round of Frisbee Golf (we have an 8 hole FOLF course – one hole short of a full course) – we tend to shadow the nationally recognized Celebrate Recovery instruction approach. There are 12 steps to examine, as further supported and illuminated by discussion from context-sensitive references in the Bible. At Restart, we believe the best approach to human healing is found in the living and active Word of God. After a short Bible lesson, we break into separate men’s and women’s groups to further the discussion
We hope you will trust these words and come to Restart – at least once. The depths you reach in one session with us may astound you. Equally important is the value you add to the lives of others will be a lasting accomplishment. We begin (relatively) sharply at 6:00 and try to wrap up no later than 7:30.
