What We Believe

It doesn’t matter what kind of clothes you wear, how much you give, or what kind of past you bring through the doors. At Restart we believe the only things that matter are (1) learning to apply the healing work of Jesus to our personal lives, (2) nurturing the innate giftedness within each of us and (3) offering those God-given gifts to the needs of others.  That is the path to true significance and meaning.  All other popular bells and whistles of church are just “stuff”.  The Jesus Path does not attract noise; but is a walk of discipline and service.

These two Bible verses succinctly describe the moral framework at Restart Church…

For I meant to know nothing among you but Christ and Him crucified
1 Corinthians 2:2

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer
Acts 2:42

As for the first verse: Pastor Bob is not going to argue Millennium positions with you.  Bible talk outside of knowing more about Christ is unfruitful.  He alone empowers us to live crucified to our own carnality.

As for the second verse: the four Believer’s guideposts along the Jesus Path are the disciplines of (1) learning from the Words of Bible,  (2) meeting strangers and serving others, (3) eating together – often confused with fellowship (Dinner in the “Fellowship Hall”, etc).  In some cultures no business may be conducted before sharing a meal together.  Many varieties of feeding happen at a meal.  Lastly, (4) the office and pleasure of intimate, direct and sustaining communion with God.

Restart focuses all its spiritual energies upon these four distinctions.  Thank you for taking a moment to read this page.  May I recommend you check out our Ministers:
